I was cleaning up my paint mess when a 'light bulb' went off. LOVE when that happens! This was made with paper plates of watered down colors and a kitchen fork! :-)

I've been on a shape and color exploration lately which is always a fun journey! I find I like them at every stage and may have to revist them!

Such A Blessing To Visit With This Guest At My Show!

This gentleman was such a pleasure to talk with. He moved the chair over and sat across from the flag posted below and really took it in. I left him be. Afterwards, we had such a meaningful discussion regarding what this flag represented to him as an African American man witnessing what is currently going on regarding politics and race in our country. The dark colors of the flag really resonated deeply with him. His depiction of it really moved me. I brought him in back to show him some of my other flags and it was so fascinating to hear what he saw in them. Such a tremendous blessing he was. Really, one of the reasons I love doing this. It’s not for sales. It’s not for fame. While those things are surely nice, for me, it’s about what lies within. And if I can stir or inspire THAT, then that is the BEST thing ever. My job is done. Humbly, thank you for blessing this artist so!! Cheers!
