What I do when I'm waiting for my clients! Have I told you how much I love my disco ball?!
Tonight it was James Brown, “Get Up Offa That Thing”! All my neighbors went home so I cranked it up. Makes me soooooo happy! Nice way to shake out some tension and relax! Cheers!
It might be cold and rainy outside...but NOT in MY studio!! ;-)
Have I mentioned how much I like color? Perhaps you have noticed? lol Getting ready for a client meeting so pulled out some paintings in the colors they are looking for. It’s fun to make people smile, I love my “job”!
Love when a visitor gets caught up in my paintings!
My dear friends from Colorado stopped in and it was fun to see their 14 year old son take in my paintings! He would look and look. I wonder what wheels were turning in his mind. Love when my art has the ability to challenge and captivate, that’s what it’s all about for me! Cheers!
When "This" becomes "That"! It's a WILD one! But a girl's got to have fun! ;-)
It started with a color chart that I painted for a reference tool…Apparently this is what happens when two Finlanders, both ironically named Heidi, get together on a computer! We are going to print out the color chart as a regular giclee print on paper, then print the color chips on canvas as a canvas wrapped giclee. They are going to be BIG ones!! Should be fun!! From a distance they will have a pattern, up close they will look like pixelated color swaths. Maybe I’ll then paint the corresponging colors over the printed color chips using them as a guide. Maybe it will make a fun textile too. Hum…so many possibilities! Here’s to enjoying the blessings of creativity! Cheers!
Having fun working on a commission for an abstract flag to match this bedding for a very fun cabin! Almost done!
What fun bedding for this bunk room! I did an in depth color study before I began painting, to pick out the best palette match. Sure do love my handy dandy paint chart that I made! Saved me hours of ‘pre-work’!
Thank you to those that made it to my show! It was great to see you! Cheers!
It was a lovely four days! Thank you to those that made it to my show! Not only do I enjoy meeting you and talking about art, I always come away with new learned lessons! I could not do this without you! Life is not lived in a vacuum or on an island alone nor is my art created in stillness and isolation. Your kind words of inspiration are music to my artistic soul. It was such fun to share in the giddiness of when a collector finds a new painting to bring home. Many of my paintings were fortunate enough to find new owners and I’m so humbled to be able to provide you with smiles and something to brighten up your walls. I’m one lucky girl!! Thank you! (and I secretly love when people sit on my chairs and stay for awhile, I sneak photos of them, it always makes me smile!)
YOU ARE CORDIALLY INVITED TO MY FALL SHOW! HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!
Every fall my building puts on a three day event! Over 80 artists, music, food and awesome art! It’s a really neat building to explore with a diverse group of artists. I put a lot of work into getting my gallery into tip top shape showcasing my latest works. It’s a highlight for me to meet you! Love, Love, Love visiting with new and old friends. So hope to see you!! Cheers!
Thank you to The Scout Guide for such a fun photo shoot! The issue is released in January!
I’m honored to be asked to join the Minneapolis Scout Guide! Winston our dog was the star of the photo shoot!! It will be fun to see how it turns out! Cheers!
These Are Fun To Do!
Just got these three back from the framers. It’s always fun to see the final product! I panted them randomly, but if you look closely, what do you see? It’s always funny to me to see what kind of life they take on all on their own! Cheers!
